Commendations works in tandem with U.S. News Lawyer Directory – powered by Best Lawyers® by connecting the two platforms with a powerful recommendation tool.

Launched in 2018, Lawyer Directory is a comprehensive guide for consumers showcasing all practicing attorneys in the U.S. and provides a broad-based platform for clients looking for legal representation. While the directory itself does not include independent scores, ratings, or rankings, all lawyers recognized in Best Lawyers are identified accordingly. Lawyers who choose to purchase an expanded profile in the directory are able to add additional awards details.
Now, lawyers with expanded profiles on Lawyer Directory can request a commendation from any attorney currently recognized in Best Lawyers, and attorneys highlighted by Best Lawyers can also proactively submit a commendation for any lawyer with a premium profile on Lawyer Directory.
